Fixed gear project

Following on from my previous post about the race I entered last weekend, this week I have been adding a few finishing touches to my bike.

First I bought some pieces of brown suede leather then cut them down, into 3cm wide widths and then stitched the strips together. The final result is very stylish, unique and feels great when riding.

I have also painted around the lugs on my bike with gold to give it a classic look, I love the detail this adds and think that it really finishes off the paint work.

Leeds Alley Cat

Yesterday I went to the Restrap 2nd anniversary event in Leeds. I’ve not been riding fixed gear for long so it was a totally new experience for me and was great to see such a strong scene. The main event of the day was the Alley cat race, followed by skid competition, track stand competition and finally some drinks at the afterparty.

Was the first time I’d ridden my fixed gear competitively and safe to say my results reflected that, but it was a great atmosphere and something I’ll definitely try again!

Thanks to Restrap for the event, and Steven Bailey for the picture used above!

2012

Happy New Year 2012!

Movember!

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

I’m going to take part this year in order to have abit of fun and hopefully raise abit of money towards a good cause. My motivation is just to see how much of a ‘tash I get and easily raise abit of money.

You can donate (no matter how small) over at my Mo-space profile. Hope that some of you can donate a little bit of cash to help the cause and maybe some of you blokes take part and raise some money!

Thanks,

Matt

IOGraph Mouse trails

I’ve recently downloaded the free IOGraph Mouse trails software which logs your mouse movements and clicks and then gives the the option to save it like the one above. I absolutely love the abstract lines and circles aswell as its infographics style and purpose.

The above image was created after 6 hours on Photoshop, mental!
